Job Overview

Continental Tide Defense System INC. is on the lookout for a dedicated and proactive Project Manager to enhance our operations. The selected candidate will primarily engage with Department of Defense clients and collaborate with our internal project management team. A robust background in power generation, transmission, and auxiliary machinery systems is essential. The ideal applicant will have proven experience in managing programs related to ship Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E) or electronic system projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Management: Oversee the comprehensive planning, execution, and delivery of ship HM&E or electronic system projects, ensuring compliance with quality standards, budget constraints, and timelines.
  • Technical Knowledge: Utilize extensive knowledge of power generation and auxiliary machinery systems to provide expert guidance and ensure adherence to project specifications.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders, building collaborative relationships. Previous experience with the Navy is critical for understanding specific project requirements.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential project risks and challenges, developing and implementing strategies to mitigate them for successful project completion.
  • Financial Management: Oversee project budgets, including forecasting and tracking expenses to ensure financial accountability.
  • Team Leadership: Direct cross-functional project teams, promoting a collaborative and results-oriented environment. Provide guidance and support to team members as necessary.
  • Quality Control: Implement and manage quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of superior ship systems.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular updates on project status to senior management, emphasizing key achievements, challenges, and future milestones.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience working directly with the U.S. Navy.
  • Capability to obtain a DBIDS access credential.
  • Strong communication skills and proven leadership abilities.
  • Experience in AIT and industrial execution and planning support.
  • Ability to oversee and direct program and project initiatives.
  • Lead and manage the work of employees assigned to projects.
  • Implement company policies and procedures effectively.
  • Physical capability to perform job duties, including lifting and transporting heavy equipment.
  • Able to work in various environmental conditions, including aboard ships and in confined spaces.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
