Job Overview

Continental Tide Defense System INC. is in search of a dynamic and driven Project Manager to support our operations. The successful candidate will primarily engage with Department of Defense clients and collaborate with internal project managers and teams. A robust background in power generation, transmission, and auxiliary machinery systems is essential. The ideal applicant will demonstrate expertise in managing programs related to ship Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E) or electronic system projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Management: Oversee the strategic planning, execution, and successful delivery of ship HM&E or electronic system projects, ensuring compliance with quality standards, budget constraints, and timelines.
  • Technical Proficiency: Utilize extensive knowledge of power generation and transmission systems to provide technical direction and ensure adherence to project specifications.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders, building collaborative relationships to meet project requirements.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential project risks and challenges, developing proactive strategies to mitigate them and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Financial Management: Oversee project budgets, including forecasting and tracking expenditures to ensure financial integrity.
  • Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, promoting a collaborative environment and providing mentorship to team members.
  • Quality Control: Implement and manage quality assurance protocols to ensure the delivery of superior ship systems.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive project status reports to senior management, outlining key achievements and upcoming milestones.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience with the U.S. Navy.
  • Ability to obtain a DBIDS access credential.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience in AIT and industrial execution support.
  • Capability to oversee and direct program initiatives.
  • Ability to apply company policies effectively.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting heavy equipment.
  • Willingness to work in various environmental conditions, including aboard ships.
  • Travel may be required as part of the role.
