Position Overview:

The Advanced Practice Provider is essential in delivering comprehensive healthcare services to patients within designated specialty areas. This role encompasses patient assessments, treatment planning, education, and referrals, while also serving as a mentor and resource for clinical practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including history taking and physical examinations, to establish accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  2. Document all patient interactions and care plans with clarity and precision, ensuring effective communication with supervising physicians and other healthcare team members.
  3. Engage patients and their families in the care process, providing education to promote self-management and adherence to treatment protocols.
  4. Foster interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  5. Stay informed on the latest advancements in healthcare practices through continuous education and professional development.
  6. Adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines, maintaining current certifications and licensure as required.
  7. Contribute to departmental goals and objectives, actively participating in team meetings and initiatives.

Qualifications:

Education:

For Physician Assistants: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program.

For Advanced Practice Registered Nurses: A Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

Experience:

No prior experience is required; however, current employees may have equivalent combinations of education and experience.

Licensure/Certification:

Must possess current BLS certification and appropriate licensure as a Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Texas.

Skills:

Demonstrated leadership abilities, effective communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care are essential for success in this role.
