Senior Automation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Industrial Control Panel Builder to join our Production team at Engineering Specialists Inc.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and testing complex industrial control panels with minimal supervision. This role requires strong electrical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities- Design and build complex industrial control panels from start to finish, following electrical schematics and quality standards.
- Attend kickoff meetings with the Engineering team and customers to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Identify and resolve concerns with schematics and drawings that may impact the overall quality and functioning of completed projects.
- Escalate any concerns or issues related to project timeline, quality issues, etc. to Account Managers.
- Conduct field service work at customer locations, including troubleshooting or wiring turnkey automation equipment.
- Improve quality of work and personal productivity on a continuous basis.
- Follow and comply with all safety protocols, work regulations, and 6S guidelines.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in building and wiring industrial control panels.
- Must be able to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Must be familiar with Electrical Codes and UL.
- Must hold a valid driver's license with the ability to travel to other work or customer locations.
The work environment is light industrial, with exposure to a moderate level of noise. Daily operations include the use of basic power tools, hand tools, and repetitive hand motion in manipulating electrical wires. Sitting, standing, and bending at the waist for up to 3 consecutive hours at a time may be required. May need to reach above shoulder height for extended periods. May be exposed to fumes and airborne particles. Must be able to climb stairs and move freely between aisles of parts, equipment, shelving units. Must be able to carry or lift at least 40 pounds.
