Financial Compliance Specialist

Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in enhancing financial integrity within our organization? At Employ Milwaukee, we are seeking a dedicated Financial Compliance Specialist to report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. In this essential position, you will ensure that our organization adheres to all financial compliance standards. Your responsibilities will include supervising timely financial operations in accordance with regulatory, legal, and funding requirements, as well as those of our subcontractor partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough oversight of financial services to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in fiscal monitoring for subcontractors and similar entities funded by Employ Milwaukee.
  • Analyze financial statements to ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to convey compliance standards.
  • Manage multiple deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related discipline is required. A minimum of 2 years of successful auditing experience is preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are essential for effective interaction with employees, customers, and vendors.
  • Proficiency in data systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Preferred: Previous auditing experience is highly valued.
