Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician (Family Practice) to join our team at the Department of Health and Human Services. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting medical exams, and developing treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine and diagnose health-related conditions, making referrals and prescribing appropriate therapy.
  • Educate individuals in health-related conditions, recommended therapy, and promotion of health.
  • Record patient-provider transactions in medical record format.
  • Develop effective relationships with patients, maintaining cultural sensitivity when treating or assisting in patient care.
Requirements
  • Must pass pre-employment examination.
  • Selectee may be subject to a probationary period.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • This is a designated position covered by Public Law, requiring contact or control over Indian children.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada.
  • Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
  • At least 1 year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting, i.e., a 1-year internship or the first year of a residency program in a hospital or an institution accredited for such training.
Working Conditions
  • On-call hours or standby duty may be required.
  • Successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
