We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Athletic Trainer to join our team at JAG Physical Therapy. As an Athletic Trainer, you will be responsible for providing top-notch athletic training services to our clients, including injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement effective athletic training programs for our clients
- Provide athletic trainer services for events and competitions
- Conduct injury assessments, treatments, and rehabilitation programs
- Document all injuries, treatments, and rehabilitation programs in accordance with JAG Physical Therapy's policies and state licensure standards
- Create a safe playing environment by monitoring and controlling environmental risks
- Provide educational programs and in-services to local schools, coaches, athletes, and communities on health and fitness-related topics
- Act as the workers' compensation case manager for our clients, submitting all insurance information, facilitating referrals, tracking compensation claims, and reporting back to the organization within HIPAA/FERPA guidelines
- Utilize effective communication skills to involve athletes, families, and others as necessary and appropriate in the plan of care
- Collaborate with other JAG Physical Therapy professionals in programs such as physical therapy and physician-related services
- Regularly communicate with the supervising physician regarding standard operating procedures, developed in agreement with the supervising physician and covering AT, which the AT follows when not directly supervised by the physician
- Assist with departmental administrative duties and day-to-day operations of the facility when not at assigned outreach locations
- Collaborate with the physical therapy service team in clinics to assist with daily operations
- Contribute to departmental improvement and growth projects
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Athletic Training (CAATE-approved program) and completion of the BOC certification
- Maintain the BOC-required 50 CEUs per certification period (every two years)
- Licensed in the state of practice as an Athletic Trainer
- Department of Education (DOE) clearance (if working in secondary schools and applicable in the state of practice)
- Current BLS certification
- Maintain Personal Liability Insurance
