Job Title: Security Architect

Vanguard is seeking a highly skilled Security Architect to join our Global Risk and Security team. As a Security Architect, you will play a critical role in protecting our clients' assets and data, as well as our own internal systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead efforts to integrate and modernize endpoints, including Mac and Windows systems.
  • Assist in determining security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements, researching information security standards, and conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments.
  • Assist in planning security systems by evaluating network and security technologies, developing requirements for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), routers, firewalls, and related security and network devices.
  • Upgrade security systems by monitoring the security environment, identifying security gaps, and implementing enhancements.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging security practices and standards, participate in educational opportunities, and maintain personal networks.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to a broad group of stakeholders.
  • Utilize a general understanding of the competitive landscape and corporate/business unit strategies to provide context for security architectural decision making.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of eight years related work experience, with at least three years of technology architect experience.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Certification- CISSP preferred. GSEC preferred.
  • Expertise and proficiency in endpoint security technologies, such as EDR and EPP platforms.
  • Strong security background in endpoint OS platforms (Windows / Mac OS)
  • Strong knowledge of network topologies and security measures (ex. network segmentation)
  • Endpoint security experience utilizing MDM platforms.
  • Endpoint Zero Trust architecture experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of endpoint security baseline configurations through DISA STIGs preferred.
