About the Role

As a Property Operations Supervisor, you will manage the daily functions of our hospitality and residential services to ensure an outstanding experience for our guests. You will lead and guide a team of staff members, collaborate with various departments to uphold service excellence, and efficiently manage Life's resources. Your role will also involve formulating and executing operational policies, addressing guest inquiries and concerns to improve process efficiency and satisfaction. Effective communication, both in person and through various channels, will be essential in responding to resident and guest requests. Your expertise will be vital in enhancing overall performance, maintaining high-quality standards, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, residents, and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the front-of-house operations and housekeeping team while collaborating closely with facilities to ensure the property is well-maintained for all guests and residents.
  • Work with the community team to design events and experiences for residents and guests.
  • Manage the operations of hospitality and residential services to achieve satisfaction and quality service for all stakeholders while meeting financial objectives.
  • Assist in budget recommendations and manage expenses within approved limits.
  • Oversee personnel management to attract, retain, and motivate employees, including recruitment, training, performance management, and addressing employee issues.
  • Direct daily check-in procedures for arriving guests, ensuring satisfaction and room assignments are met.
  • Manage guest departures by following established procedures to close accounts and prepare rooms for future guests.
  • Monitor financial transactions, ensuring accurate handling of guest accounts and maintaining precise hotel records.
  • Respond to inquiries and accept reservations, effectively communicating rates and utilizing suggestive selling techniques to enhance occupancy and revenue.
  • Maintain excellent customer relations by staying informed about in-house and local events to provide timely and knowledgeable responses.
  • Address customer complaints appropriately to uphold a high level of satisfaction and quality.
  • Exhibit a positive demeanor and operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Promote high ethical standards, demonstrating integrity, honesty, and fairness.
  • Lead in planning both short-term and long-term operations for related areas.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management, including staff hiring, motivation, and training.

Ideal Background

  • A four-year college degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in managing personnel and complex challenges.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex information to improve practices or develop new strategies.
  • Strong communication skills for negotiation, persuasion, and influence.
  • Decision-making capabilities with general policies and procedures as guidance.
  • Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills.
