Job Overview:
As a permanent Technology Inventory Supply Chain Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and management of materials and inventory for parts, supplies, and equipment.
You will be responsible for logistics, shipping/receiving, materials management/storage, and cycling initiatives.Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute strategies for managing technology inventory and supply chain, ensuring efficient data center operations.
- Supervise the procurement of technology assets, negotiating with suppliers to secure optimal value.
- Oversee the lifecycle of technology assets, from acquisition to disposal, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with various departments to forecast technology requirements and ensure resource availability.
- Establish and enforce policies and procedures for technology asset management, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of technology inventory and supply chain, identifying improvement opportunities and implementing necessary changes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in technology inventory management, supply chain management, or a similar role.
- Extensive experience with data center operations.
- Active DOE Q clearance (or had this clearance within the previous 3 years).
- Proven negotiation skills with a successful track record in vendor negotiations.
- Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a focus on team performance.
- Exceptional communication skills, able to convey complex information to diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in relevant software, including inventory management systems and data analysis tools.
- Previous data center experience and Security+ certification are advantageous.
