Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Operations Manager to join our team at Los Alamos National Laboratory. As a key member of our management team, you will provide high-level administrative, business, and operational support to Division and Group managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to Division and Group managers, including coordinating meetings, preparing reports, and managing budgets.
  • Develop and implement operational processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with HR professionals on performance, merit, personnel issues, and oversee the complete, accurate, and timely submittal of hiring packages and actions for the Division.
  • Work closely with financial professionals on budget development, planning, and tracking, and oversee the oversight of division space.
  • Conduct research and analysis on technical, operational, policy, and administrative issues related to the PF Division and present recommendations to management.
  • Coordinate, oversee, and execute the Division's response to action items and data calls, and provide guidance to managers and employees on operational and administrative issues where consistency across the Division is necessary for effectiveness, efficiency, and regulatory or policy compliance.
Requirements
  • Advanced knowledge and successful demonstrated experience with the administrative management of business, operational, and/or programmatic activities in the following areas: safety, quality, security, financial management, human resources, community/customer relations, training, and procurement.
  • Advanced supervisory experience with an excellent record of team building, collaboration, and leadership.
  • Knowledge of, and demonstrated successful experience in, management, supervision, mentorship, and professional development of employees.
  • Excellent organizational skills to independently establish priorities and track deliverables while working effectively under pressure, with frequent interruptions, as well as managing projects and executing complex operational and business assignments.
  • Demonstrated record of dependability, reliability, and commitment to the long-term needs of the job duties and programmatic goals of the organization.
  • Advanced experience in effective decision-making and creative problem-solving, including skills in researching and recommending alternative solutions to problems.
  • Expert knowledge of, and successfully demonstrated experience in, developing, implementing, and managing innovation and process improvements.
Education and Experience

Position requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and 5 years related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.

Clearance

This position requires a Q clearance. and obtaining such clearance requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Receipt of a Q clearance and additional access authorization ultimately is a decision of the Federal Government and not of Triad.
