POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Marshall Medical Center plays a crucial role in developing and implementing a holistic workforce strategy that prioritizes employee well-being and supports the organization’s mission and vision. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and being an integral part of the executive leadership team, the SVP of HR is keenly aware of Marshall's strategic objectives and contributes to shaping the organizational framework by providing insights into the comprehensive HR landscape. With responsibility for all administrative and operational facets of human resources management across the institution, the SVP leads innovative programs and policies that encompass talent acquisition, talent development, workforce enhancement, leadership effectiveness, total rewards, employee relations, HR information systems, performance evaluation, workforce planning, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. In addition to driving the design and execution of HR strategies, the SVP ensures alignment with Marshall's strategic goals by attracting top-tier talent and capabilities to foster organizational success. Proactively addressing both present and future challenges in healthcare human resources management, the SVP maintains a forward-thinking approach to managing a wide range of workforce issues. Directly overseeing the HR division and indirectly managing all personnel within it, the SVP serves as a catalyst for nurturing a culture of excellence, enhancing employee engagement, and advocating for initiatives that support the well-being and professional development of associates throughout Marshall and its affiliates.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Licensure/Certification:
  • Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or a Master's Degree (MA/MS) in Human Resources or a related field is required.
  • SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification is preferred.
  • *Must meet all DMV requirements listed below.
Knowledge:
  • A minimum of ten years of experience in Human Resources, with at least five years in an executive HR role.
  • Must possess knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) methodologies and experience in team development.
  • Comprehensive understanding of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Stays informed on current trends, laws, and regulations affecting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs.
