Job Summary

Ampsite is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Cybersecurity Policy Advisor to join our team. The Senior Cybersecurity Policy Advisor will be responsible for providing strategic advice and guidance on cybersecurity policy within a federal agency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Cybersecurity Policy

Write policy that meets federal requirements and accommodates the complex mission objectives for stakeholders.

Collaborate with Stakeholders

Collaborate and coordinate with various technical stakeholders and decision makers to gather input and build consensus around cybersecurity policy initiatives.

Conduct Research and Analysis

Conduct and document in-depth research on complex cybersecurity policy issues, gather data, and assess the effectiveness of current policies.

Brief Senior Officials

Brief senior officials or executives on policy implications and potential impacts to the agency and stakeholders.

Review Policy Documentation

Review policy documentation including memos, briefings, and other communications.

Stay Up-to-Date with Regulations

Adapt to changing laws, regulations, and federal guidance.

Requirements
  • Minimum of Five Years of Experience

Minimum of five years of experience in cybersecurity policy development or oversight.

Comprehensive Understanding of NIST Special Publication Catalog

Comprehensive understanding of the NIST special publication catalog.

Proficiency in Interpreting External Guidance

Proficiency in interpreting external guidance from authoritative sources like OMB, CISA, etc.

Strong Analytical and Critical Thinking Skills

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Exceptional Written and Verbal Communication Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Tools
