Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the configuration, administration, and maintenance of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Oversee the setup and upkeep of servers, workstations, and network devices, ensuring compliance with security standards.
- Document processes and protocols essential for maintaining a secure computing environment.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement remediation strategies for all accredited devices.
- Install and configure network equipment, including firewalls and routers, to ensure robust security.
Learning Opportunities:
- Develop expertise as a credible cybersecurity engineer with specialized skills.
- Gain hands-on experience with virtual computing technologies.
- Advance towards becoming a subject matter expert in product security.
Qualifications:
- A degree in a relevant field (STEM) or equivalent experience.
- Active U.S. government issued security clearance is mandatory.
- Certification in compliance with DoD 8570, such as CISSP or CompTIA Security+ CE.
- Extensive experience with Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).
- Proficiency in configuring McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator and Endpoint Security.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong understanding of NIST security controls and DISA STIGs.
- Experience with virtualization technologies like Hyper-V and VMware.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS for network configurations.
