Job Overview

The Residential Program Supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the living environment for youth. This position reports directly to the Social Development Director and is responsible for managing a team of Senior Residential and Residential Advisors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold and exemplify the core values and operational principles of Covenant Learning Solutions LLC.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized living space for students by evaluating conditions and making informed decisions.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as student evaluations, progress tracking, and emergency protocols.
  • Facilitate student adjustment to center life and guide them in developing essential social skills for career readiness.
  • Maintain communication with students' families to address concerns and support student well-being.
  • Organize and coordinate recreational and educational activities that promote social development.
  • Manage staff schedules to guarantee adequate coverage at all times.
  • Provide training and performance evaluations for residential staff, offering insights to the Social Development Director.
  • Act as a liaison between supervisors and residential staff to ensure effective communication.
  • Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of the dormitory, ensuring it meets inspection standards.
  • Coordinate student government activities and assist with counseling referrals as needed.
  • Support the Recreation Department in organizing activities and ensuring proper coverage.
  • Align career preparation program goals with dormitory staff efforts.
  • Foster a positive and respectful environment free from harassment and bullying.
  • Promote the development of employability skills through consistent modeling of appropriate behaviors.
  • Maintain accountability for staff, students, and property while adhering to safety practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall mission of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Associate of Arts degree or two years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Experience in dormitory management or working with at-risk youth is advantageous.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred, particularly within Job Corps settings.
  • Must complete all mandated training as required by government and management standards.
  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is preferred.

Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge of counseling techniques and the ability to effectively engage with disadvantaged youth.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and respond to emails promptly based on urgency.
  • Familiarity with educational and vocational training programs, as well as local social services.
  • Capability to inspire and motivate both staff and students.
