Repair and Logistics Specialist

Under the supervision of the Factory Service Center Branch Manager, the primary responsibility of the Repair and Logistics Specialist is to manage shipping and receiving tasks while executing repair and service operations for Milwaukee products in line with established protocols.
Compensation for this position starts at $28.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping and Receiving
- Execute a range of shipping and receiving tasks following set procedures.
- Log and document units, components, and accessories that are ordered or returned for repair, service, or inventory.
- Conduct visual inspections of received goods and organize them for storage, repair, or service.
- Prepare and package orders and repairs for dispatch to clients; generate shipping documentation and calculate shipping costs.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles and operate material handling machinery.
Service and Repair
- Tasks include disassembling units, diagnosing operational issues, and identifying and replacing worn or defective components in accordance with work instructions.
- Conduct prescribed inspections and assess the feasibility of repairs.
- Maintain records of parts utilized and provide information for billing and warranty purposes.
- Identify and report operational discrepancies and defective materials.
- Set up and perform electrical and mechanical tests to ensure that repairs meet quality standards.
- Work from parts lists, specifications, and schematics.
Operational Support
- Assist with sales and service counter functions; retrieve parts from inventory as needed for service counter operations; manage monetary transactions; and assist with inventory management as required.
- Support counter operations including answering calls, placing orders, logging tools, and assisting walk-in customers.
- Ensure quality of work, safety, and cleanliness in the assigned area.
- Perform additional tasks as directed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- One to two years of prior experience in electrical and/or mechanical repair is preferred.
- Two to three years of experience in a customer service role is advantageous.
- At least one year of experience in a similar role to gain familiarity with shipping, receiving, and counter processes is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Capability to maneuver heavy materials weighing up to 300 lbs.
- Effective business communication skills and understanding of the local market are essential.
- Proficiency in computer skills and Microsoft Office applications is required.
