Job Overview

Mister Sparky Corporate Store is in search of a Residential Electrical Technician to undertake responsibilities associated with the repair and installation of electrical systems for home clients, ensuring the utmost customer safety, satisfaction, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, apparatus, and fixtures.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning systems and components using appropriate tools and equipment to identify issues and implement solutions.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other essential components.
  • Conduct inspections of electrical systems and components to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Plan and execute the layout and installation of electrical wiring and fixtures according to job specifications and local regulations.
  • Install grounding leads and connect power cables to various equipment.
  • Route conduit within designated areas and pull insulated wires or cables through conduits to establish circuits.
  • Fabricate and assemble parts, securing boxes to walls for electrical switches or outlets.
  • Provide initial sketches and cost estimates for materials and services required.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate transfer of service work data.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area post-job completion, respecting the client's property.
  • Ensure the company vehicle is clean and organized, both inside and out.
  • Uphold a professional appearance at all times.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience as an Electrician in residential service and maintenance.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • An associate degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in math and reading comprehension.
  • Strong understanding of electrical concepts, practices, and procedures, including the ability to interpret Electrical Codes and Safety Regulations.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Possession of necessary trade tools.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
