Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Ocean Import Coordinator to join our team at Deutsche Bahn. As a key member of our global logistics network, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth importation of goods into the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including customs regulations and licensing requirements.
  • Review contracts and identify any omissions or required clauses.
  • Interface with internal and external customers, freight forwarders, customs officers, and other functional areas to ensure coordination and logistics of shipment.
  • Select carrier for shipment of products and prepare documents for freight forwarders.
  • Accurately perform all accounting functions related to the billing, distribution, and collection of funds for clients' cargo.
Requirements
  • 3-6 years of experience in import logistics or a related field.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with vendors and customers.
  • Knowledge of Word and Excel, as well as general freight forwarding terms and standards.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Customs Regulations and Harmonized Tariff Schedule.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting functions and relative information retrieval.
