Job Title: Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at SIG Combibloc. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our equipment and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and manage daily maintenance activities, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment.
  • Provide superior reports to the back office and communicate efficiently across the customer's organization.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute planned preventive major maintenance activities to a high standard and in line with agreed procedures.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical and automation malfunctions and breakdowns.
  • Conduct systematic root cause analysis of problems to ensure permanent resolution and/or escalate with a proper problem description and documentation when root cause is not identified.
  • Handle claims and provide technical support and guidance to escalated claims per the claims process and through the quality department.
  • Install rebuilding kits according to procedures and reinstate equipment into production environment with a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze, identify, and take action on system performance issues, implementing correct and approved operational improvements.
Requirements:
  • Engineering Associate's degree, preferably electrical or mechanical.
  • 3-5 years of experience in technical/equipment/machinery experience in an equipment manufacturing service-based industry.
  • Customer site and packaging line knowledge, Carton and packaging technology, Aseptic a plus.
  • Fluent in English, with Bi-Lingual (Spanish and/or German) preferred.
  • At least 80% of travel and available for foreign travel; Must reside near a major airport.
