Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver food to patients, staff, and visitors in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Set up and serve food from counters and steam tables, ensuring a high level of presentation and quality.
  • Assist with food preparation, including cooking, reheating, and plating.
  • Deliver trays to patients, set up trays, and unwrap food items as needed.
  • Monitor and report any deviations in refrigerator or freezer temperatures to Maintenance.
  • Collect and record dish machine temperatures as assigned, and complete documentation of food temperatures.
  • Follow department standards when preparing food items and show attention to detail in foods produced.
  • Order needed supplies according to department standard operating procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.

Working Conditions

This position is located in a hospital setting and requires the ability to work in a clean and safe environment. You will be exposed to various temperatures, humidity levels, and cleaning chemicals.

Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach, and handle objects. You will also need to be able to lift, carry, push, and pull objects up to 25 pounds.

Driving Requirement

This position does not require frequent driving.
