Position Overview

The Field Operations Consultant is responsible for conducting thorough evaluations of restaurant standards, including Operations Excellence Assessments and Food Safety visits. This role involves analyzing restaurant performance in relation to customer experience and operational standards. The consultant will also foster a comprehensive understanding of restaurant operations through continuous assessment, training, and development.

  • Perform objective evaluations to assess restaurant performance against McDonald's operational standards.
  • Safeguard the McDonald's brand by identifying potential risks to customer experience and brand reputation.
  • Promote operational excellence by pinpointing restaurants that fall short of quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
  • Enhance operational skills across all restaurant systems through ongoing training and certification.
  • Develop deep expertise in restaurant operations and provide coaching and analysis to franchisees.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert to support restaurants on specific operational initiatives.
  • Utilize expertise to drive guest counts, sales, and cash flow through performance excellence sessions.
  • Collaborate with Franchise Business Partners to create a comprehensive consulting toolkit and monitor key performance metrics.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to organize evaluations and reports effectively.
  • Excellent time management skills to navigate a demanding evaluation and travel schedule.
  • A quick learning ability to develop a broad understanding of restaurant systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with franchisees and restaurant managers.
  • Leadership qualities with effective communication and presentation skills.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
  • The ability to recognize patterns and develop insights into common performance issues.
  • Previous restaurant experience is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
