Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Recreational Therapist II to join our team at the Hogan Regional Center in Danvers, MA. As a member of our interdisciplinary clinical treatment team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and instructing individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through participation in leisure activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with planning and implementing therapeutic recreation programs and services
  • Provide input and supervision on recreation therapy program development and implementation
  • Coordinate and monitor the implementation of recreation therapy services through the interdisciplinary team process
  • Evaluate individual needs for recreation therapy services and develop treatment plans
  • Conduct training and consultation to staff and families
Requirements
  • Knowledge of therapeutic recreation principles and practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and staff
  • Leadership skills and ability to provide instruction and training
  • Physical stamina and endurance
Preferred Qualifications
  • CTRS Certification (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Therapist)
  • Experience working in a long-term care facility
