Role Summary:
The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is seeking a full-time Speech and Language Pathologist Level II. This role is pivotal in managing daily operations within a group home setting, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for individuals with speech and language needs.
The incumbent will assess individual communication and swallowing abilities, develop tailored treatment plans, and oversee the implementation of therapeutic interventions. Collaboration with caregivers and other professionals is essential to ensure comprehensive support for individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of communication skills and dysphagia needs using both formal and informal assessment methods.
- Design and implement effective treatment strategies for communication and swallowing disorders.
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with professional standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Provide training and support to team members and families to facilitate the carryover of therapeutic techniques.
- Manage resources related to communication therapies, ensuring availability of necessary materials and equipment.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with weekends off.
