Job Summary

Nuvance Health is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technical Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory services.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain daily operations of the front-end automation system, including loading caps, aliquot tubes, and performing system function checks.
  • Ensure specimen integrity while performing specimen accessioning, ordering, and processing using established handling, labeling, and processing procedures.
  • Prepare control materials, perform preventive maintenance, complete maintenance logs, and perform instrument quality control.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answer phones, and add on additional test requests as needed.
  • Maintain reagent inventory, label, and store reagents appropriately, dating when received, opened, and when expires.
  • Restock supplies in the work area as needed and communicate effectively with other staff members to ensure excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum of three years of job-related experience
  • Customer service and organizational skills
Working Conditions
  • Significant manual skills and motor coordination
  • Significant occupational risk
  • Medium to Heavy effort, may exert up to 35 lbs. force
  • Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
