Human Resources Generalist

As a Human Resources Generalist at Classic Industries Inc., you will play a key role in supporting the management team in leading their teams and identifying opportunities for growth. You will promote exceptional employee performance, create an environment of trust and teamwork, and facilitate fairness and equal opportunity to develop employee potential through excellent human resources practices.
Responsibilities:
- Support the HR needs of the management team, providing employee training, maintaining current employee records, attendance tracking, leave of absences, hourly employee evaluations, and other related HR functions.
- Build relationships with managers, supporting them with leading their teams and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Act as a connector between all business units, mapping out dependencies and creating partnerships in line with our company values.
- Strengthen employee relationships across the company, which in turn supports management in achieving their strategic goals.
- Drive policy review and education while balancing operational and employee needs.
- Represent Classic Industries Inc. in regulatory hearings and responses to regulatory agencies.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Assist with the preparation of reports and the analysis of statistical data for metrics and regulatory purposes.
- Coordinate development of appropriate training programs.
- Responsible for Attendance Tracking, evaluating absence points in HRIS, and communicating with supervisors to verify and/or correct as needed.
- Responsible for distributing Employee Evaluations (all hourly) and maintaining and updating all hourly employee files.
- Assist all plant supervisors with communication notices or attendance issues and ensure communication notices are issued per policy.
- Assist employees with issues, questions, and complaints.
- Coordinate service award program, field employee complaints, and assist in complaint resolution.
- Support the People department with company and plant events, employee meetings, and other projects as needed.
- Manage food services and other employee services as needed.
- Participate in Employee Orientation, Development and Training, administrative staff meetings, and attend other seminars as needed.
- Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve efficiency of the People Department and organization to improve the employee experience.
- Coach Supervisors and Managers to ensure they are knowledgeable about employment laws to successfully apply legal guidelines in the workplace.
- Administer programs to help Supervisors and Managers recognize and thank employees for their contributions.
