Job Title: Grants Accountant

Position Overview:

Under the supervision of the Finance Director, the Grants Accountant is responsible for the preparation and coordination of fiscal management and accounting activities related to grants. This includes compliance auditing and the tracking of governmental and private foundation grants awarded to TrueCare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage the financial reporting for various grants, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct audits to ensure adherence to accounting standards and grant requirements.
  • Utilize advanced accounting principles to interpret financial data and prepare reports.
  • Employ strong analytical skills to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all financial documentation.
  • Organize and prioritize multiple tasks effectively to meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline, with a minimum of two years of experience in grant accounting, or four years of professional accounting experience focused on grants.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
