The Job

The Environmental Remediation Senior Manager is responsible for the successful investigation, remedial project design, and implementation of environmental remediation projects. This includes managing projects to achieve cost and schedule commitments, preparing financial documentation, and working with internal stakeholders to develop strategic direction.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental remediation, project management, and leadership. They will be responsible for:

  • Managing a portfolio of corporate legacy sites in various stages of investigation and remediation
  • Negotiating with regulatory agencies and managing compliance with applicable orders and permits
  • Preparing and maintaining accurate financial documentation, including budget projections and environmental liability reserve amounts
  • Working with internal stakeholders to develop strategic direction for remediation and implementation of environmental related projects

The successful candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience, or a minimum of 16 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills, including the ability to budget, plan, organize, coordinate, direct, and control the activities of the assigned organization
  • Knowledge of environmental liability recognition and reporting requirements for publicly traded companies
