Senior Accounting Specialist

Position Overview:
As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions that are essential to the financial health of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Perform daily reconciliations of Accounts Receivable and bank transactions.
- Prepare month-end journal entries and ensure timely closing of financial records.
- Oversee monthly inventory reconciliations to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Generate and present monthly and quarterly financial statements to management.
- Manage all aspects of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including supervising team members.
- Facilitate the collection of aged receivables to optimize cash flow.
- Review and verify the accuracy of all payable invoices prior to entry into the accounting system.
- Create weekly forecasts for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to assist in financial planning.
- Assign job numbers to projects, prepare invoices, and track payments for milestones.
- Collaborate with the Field Service Manager to ensure the accuracy of service invoices.
- Prepare emergency cost write-ups for review before invoicing for urgent jobs.
- Audit the monthly American Express bill for discrepancies.
- Manage sales tax compliance across multiple states.
- Work closely with banking personnel regarding loan transactions and renewals.
- Handle Human Resource functions, including onboarding and benefits administration.
- Administer payroll processes, including 401k distributions and annual reporting.
- Review and validate weekly expense reports and file necessary annual reports.
- Obtain and maintain yearly Certificate of Insurance documentation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of comprehensive accounting experience.
- Experience in administrative or HR functions is highly advantageous.
- Manufacturing industry experience is preferred but not mandatory.
