The Culinary Preparation Specialist is responsible for preparing and portioning food items while adhering to production requirements and sanitation standards set by Aramark. This role involves utilizing daily worksheets and standardized recipes to create meals.
Key Responsibilities? Prepares all food items according to prep lists and established Aramark recipes.
? Adheres to proper food handling procedures.
? Ensures accurate rotation of food to maintain quality and freshness.
? Properly manages leftover foods by covering, labeling, dating, and storing them according to Aramark standards.
? Keeps refrigerators and work areas clean and organized.
? Ensures that all stations are cleaned, sanitized, and organized at the end of the shift, including kitchen equipment.
? Maintains a safe and sanitary work environment that complies with all food safety regulations.
? Follows safety policies and procedures for reporting accidents.
? Completes all required training programs.
? A minimum of one year of experience in food preparation or food service is preferred.
? Familiarity with food preparation techniques, proper knife handling, temperature control, and sanitation practices is beneficial.
? Ability to read and write effectively to communicate with team members.
? Basic math and counting skills are essential.
This position may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
