Position Summary

As an Environmental Services Technician, you will play a crucial role in our operations. This position involves learning about environmental regulations and the safe removal of hazardous materials from waste streams. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Consolidating, treating, storing, transporting, and disposing of hazardous waste in compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Operating forklifts and other equipment to manage containers and load/unload trailers.
  • Accurately completing required documentation in line with regulations and company policies.

Compensation: Starting pay is $19 per hour.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Experience operating forklifts
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to pass a DEA Background Check
  • Physical capability to lift and carry 50 pounds regularly
  • Endurance to stand and walk on uneven surfaces for extended periods
  • Visual acuity for reading labels and documentation
  • Ability to hear warning signals and alarms
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Compliance with safety equipment requirements
  • Proficiency in understanding and responding to written and verbal English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in warehouse or manufacturing settings
  • Forklift certification is a plus
  • Basic computer skills for online training
  • Reliability in attendance during scheduled hours
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with customers and colleagues
