The Patient Care Director of Neurology and Sleep Services will oversee the daily operations of a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, cost-effective care. This role will work in a collaborative leadership structure with the Associate Medical Director for the Neurology, EEG, and Sleep Clinic departments.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Manage the operations of CNI ambulatory clinics, including Neurology, EEG, and Sleep Clinic
- Ensure standards of care and quality of services are provided in accordance with organizational goals and priorities
- Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure adequate training and competency
- Financial Management
- Determine fiscal requirements and prepare an annual budget for the department(s)
- Monitor, verify, and reconcile expenditures and revenues
- Collaborate with internal resources to prepare and analyze financial proformas as needed
- Quality and Compliance
- Collaborate with regulatory, compliance, and infection prevention staff to ensure compliant operations
- Promote safe, high-quality care processes
- Communicate with leadership and staff to support workplace engagement
- Interdepartmental Collaboration
- Collaborate with internal and external parties to maintain, develop, and advance program initiatives
- Support the development and implementation of new service lines, efficiency improvements, and pain contract development
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field
- Master's degree in Health Administration or a related field
- Certifications and Licenses
- Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of hire
- Experience
- Completion of a healthcare leadership fellowship
- One (1) year of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting
- Skills and Knowledge
- Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Practice Management (PM) systems
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- Budgetary experience in the management of fiscal data
- Interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients, families, staff, and physicians
- Analytical skills sufficient to gather and interpret data in a variety of situations
