Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Operating Room Tech PRN to join our team at Blue River Surgery Center. As a Surgical Operating Room Tech, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective nursing care in the operating room.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the provision of safe and effective nursing care in the operating room under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
  • Contribute to the company's mission and vision by providing exceptional patient care and observation.
  • Scrub and assist the surgeon at the operative field, ensuring a smooth and efficient surgical process.
  • Collect and record pertinent clinical data in the medical record, collaborating with the Registered Nurse in clinical decision making.
  • Prepare the operative suite for surgery by checking and gathering supplies, equipment, and instruments.
  • Dispose of trash and linens, and clean equipment and environmental surfaces between cases.
  • Prepare procedure rooms for use the following day by bringing in equipment, setting up, and reporting to supervisor items that are needed and not available.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program (preferred).
  • One year experience in an operating room setting (preferably in an ambulatory surgery center).
  • Valid BCLS Certification upon employment.
