Your Role:

We are on the lookout for a talented and seasoned Lead Cloud Solutions Engineer to become a vital member of our Platform Cloud Efficiency team. This role focuses on improving the performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of our cloud infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in shaping the architecture and best practices that will be implemented across all engineering divisions at Social Finance Ltd. Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with cross-functional teams to architect and deploy scalable and efficient cloud solutions.
  • Develop software applications aimed at enhancing cloud efficiency, including automation scripts, tooling, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Identify and leverage opportunities for automation and process enhancements to boost cloud efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cloud and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of solutions within cloud environments.
  • Implement monitoring and analytics tools to track essential cloud efficiency metrics.
  • Analyze data to pinpoint areas for improvement and provide insights to inform optimization strategies.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design software that is intuitive, efficient, scalable, and reliable.
  • Conduct code reviews and offer constructive feedback to team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development.
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Java/Kotlin, Python, or Go.
  • Solid understanding of software design principles, microservices architecture, and industry best practices.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with container orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), networking, and service meshes (e.g., Istio).
  • Experience with workflow management tools (e.g., Temporal, Apache Airflow, Cadence) is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of streaming and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis) is a plus.
