Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team in the CVICU at Memorial Hermann Health System. As a Critical Care RN, you will collaborate with the physician and healthcare team in the delivery of patient care, utilizing the nursing process to provide professional nursing care to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct nursing assessments, assist with exams and treatment, patient education, and maintenance of medical records
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate the planning for the delivery of nursing care
  • Administer appropriate clinical decisions in the delivery of patient care
  • Develop and implement discharge and/or transfer plans
  • Participate in a systemic, interdisciplinary, and ongoing evaluation of programs, process improvement, and desired client-centered outcomes

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelors of Nursing preferred
  • Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing
  • Certified in Basic Life Support
  • Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2.5 years of Critical Care ICU experience
