Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that every guest is treated with respect and dignity.
  • Provide appropriate food and water to all guests, ensuring daily cleaning and sanitization of bowls.
  • Regularly clean up after pets, including waste and any messes.
  • Walk dogs on leashes to and from designated exercise areas.
  • Engage in play activities with pets, including fetch, exercise walks, and basic obedience games.
  • Supervise multiple dogs throughout the day, monitoring for potential conflicts and intervening as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and healthy environment by adhering to cleaning and disinfecting protocols.
  • Monitor the health of guests by tracking eating and elimination habits, and promptly address any concerns.
  • Document guest interactions and behaviors during playtime.
  • Follow safety protocols for handling guests, especially those with behavioral issues.
  • Pay close attention to special handling instructions for individual pets.
  • Report any health concerns or unusual behaviors to management immediately.
  • Operate laundry equipment to clean pet belongings and ensure they are returned to the correct pet.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the facility.
  • Notify management of low inventory levels for pet supplies and cleaning products.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the property by disposing of trash and debris.
  • Report any safety or operational issues to management.
  • Stay informed about important notices and meetings.
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed.
A Day in the Life:

As an Animal Care Specialist, you will be an integral part of a dedicated team focused on the daily care of our guests. Your shifts will vary, encompassing tasks such as walking dogs, providing potty breaks, feeding, administering medications, cleaning accommodations, and engaging in playtime with both dogs and cats. One day, you may help overnight guests feel at home, while the next, you could oversee daycare playgroups, ensuring harmonious interactions. You might offer extra attention to a shy pet while also helping a regular guest settle in. Your daily responsibilities will include not only enjoying playtime with the pets but also maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility.
