Position Overview:
This role requires a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) who is committed to delivering exceptional care to patients facing acute health challenges.
Sign-on Bonuses available up to $20,000.00
As an RN, you will play a vital role in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, ensuring adherence to established standards and protocols.
Your responsibilities will include supervising nursing staff and coordinating care for a diverse patient population.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
A Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing is required, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Licensure and Certifications:
Must hold a valid nursing license in the State of Illinois.
ACLS certification is required within six months of employment.
Emergency Communication Registered Nurse (ECRN) licensure is necessary.
Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS) or TNCC certification must be obtained within two years of hire, subject to managerial discretion.
CPR certification is required or must be completed during Nursing Team Onboarding.
Experience:
A minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong proficiency in reading, writing, and verbal communication is essential.
Demonstrated understanding of fundamental nursing skills and clinical information systems is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive health assessments through interviews, observations, and physical evaluations.
Oversee the delegation and provision of nursing care for assigned patients, utilizing the nursing process effectively.
Engage in research initiatives as appropriate and integrate findings into clinical practice.Contribute to quality improvement efforts and ensure accurate and timely documentation in patient medical records.
Exhibit technical proficiency in the use of patient care equipment and prioritize tasks based on patient needs and changing conditions.
Advocate for patients by collaborating with families, physicians, and healthcare teams.
Adapt educational strategies to meet the unique needs of patients and their families, considering cultural and developmental factors.
Implement effective patient education regarding health issues, chronic condition management, and self-care strategies.
Support initiatives aimed at enhancing patient experience and lead efforts to foster a positive environment.Perform additional duties as assigned, recognizing that this job description serves as a general overview of the primary responsibilities expected of the role.
