About the Team

GOAT is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to become a vital member of our Asset Protection Team, dedicated to maintaining a secure and safe workplace by serving as a visual deterrent against potential theft while meticulously documenting all necessary activities. This position will assist the local Asset Protection Team in ensuring compliance and safety standards. Reporting directly to the AP Supervisor/Manager, we are in search of a proactive and collaborative individual with a keen eye for detail, outstanding organizational capabilities, critical thinking skills, and the ability to adapt to various situations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and nurture positive relationships with staff, vendors, and customers, showcasing exceptional customer service skills.
  • Uphold a professional and polished appearance in alignment with GOAT Group's uniform guidelines.
  • Participate in the evaluation of POST Orders for your designated facility, ensuring adherence and enforcement of all outlined protocols.
  • Support the enforcement of Asset Protection programs and procedures, including the IIPP Program, Emergency Evacuation Procedures, and Fire Prevention Program.
  • Assist with access control measures, the visitor management program, and audits of access cards.
  • Conduct thorough examinations and document logistics carrier information in accordance with CTPAT compliance standards where applicable.
  • Complete opening and closing checklists, communicating any findings effectively.
  • Provide support to the local management team during planned and special events.
  • Regulate the entry and exit of employees, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with GOAT Group policies.
  • Perform detailed inspections of packages, including personal items, when employees are leaving the facility.
  • Monitor surveillance systems consistently.
  • Document any unlawful or suspicious activities promptly.
  • Review CCTV footage to ensure compliance with after-hours building opening and closing procedures.
  • Assist in the process of removing trespassers and violators, detaining individuals as necessary while adhering to legal protocols until authorities arrive.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making skills in line with applicable guidelines and policies.
  • Comply with our Hands-Off Policy while ensuring a safe working environment across all GOAT facilities.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Distribution Center or Retail environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in Security or Asset Protection preferred.
  • Experience in audit and compliance is advantageous.
  • Ability to mentor and train team members effectively.
  • Proficient in handling sensitive information with discretion.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Capability to fulfill responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Availability for planned and unplanned overtime may be necessary.
  • Familiarity with CCTV, NVR, Google Suite, Excel, PowerPoint, and iOS is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work in a typical warehouse or retail setting, which may involve exposure to dust, varying temperatures, and extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking.
The compensation range for this role is competitive, complemented by benefits such as 401K, paid time off, dental, medical, vision, disability, and life insurance options.
