About the Role

BSA Technology is looking for a results-oriented, innovative, and highly qualified individual to join our dynamic team as a Manufacturing Accounting Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, managing, and optimizing cost-saving opportunities through detailed analyses of manufacturing processes and inventory management. Collaborating closely with the operations team, you will drive financial performance, implement cost reduction strategies, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).

Your Responsibilities:

  • Act as a financial partner to Manufacturing and Operations by analyzing cost drivers and enhancing costing systems to ensure precise product costings and improved profitability.
  • Facilitate continuous improvements in manufacturing costs by delivering timely analyses of business results and trends, while leading initiatives to eliminate waste in time, resources, and finances.
  • Enhance profitability and operational efficiency by collaborating with stakeholders to pinpoint the primary causes of manufacturing scrap and providing financial insights that support decision-making.
  • Examine production variances and devise solutions by identifying root causes, reconciling related balance sheet accounts, and communicating findings to Finance and Operations leaders.
  • Support business expansion by conducting margin analyses across customers, product lines, and markets for both existing and prospective offerings.
  • Champion product costing by collaborating cross-functionally to establish optimal production practices in relation to standard costing and manufacturing accounting operations, ensuring accurate inventory valuations.
  • Ensure compliance with business and regulatory financial reporting requirements by preparing and supporting audits for month-end, quarterly, and year-end financial statements, while analyzing inventory provisions and budget forecasts related to cost of goods sold.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
  • CPA or CMA certification is advantageous.
  • Proficient advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems; familiarity with JD Edwards Enterprise-1 and Power BI is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing accounting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A proven track record of influencing others through persuasion and initiative.
