About the Role
BSA Technology is on the lookout for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our esteemed team as a Manufacturing Accounting Manager. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in identifying, managing, and optimizing cost-saving opportunities through thorough analyses of manufacturing processes and inventory management. Collaborating closely with the operations team, you will focus on enhancing financial performance, driving initiatives for cost reductions, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Acting as a financial partner to the Manufacturing and Operations teams by analyzing cost drivers and refining costing systems to ensure precise product costings and improved profitability.
- Driving continuous improvement and efficiency in manufacturing costs by delivering timely analyses of business performance and trends, while leading efforts to eliminate waste in operations.
- Enhancing profitability and operational health by collaborating with stakeholders to pinpoint the primary causes of manufacturing scrap and providing financial insights that empower decision-makers to minimize scrap expenses.
- Evaluating production variances and formulating solutions by investigating, reviewing, and addressing variances to their root causes, alongside performing relevant balance sheet account reconciliations and reporting findings to Finance and Operations leaders.
- Facilitating business development and growth by conducting margin analyses across customers, product lines, and markets for both existing and prospective offerings.
- Championing product costing initiatives by working cross-functionally to establish optimal production practices related to standard costing and manufacturing accounting operations, including system setups and costing methodologies.
- Ensuring compliance with business and regulatory financial reporting requirements by preparing, filing, and supporting audits for month-end, quarterly, and year-end financial statements, while analyzing inventory provision balances and managing budget forecasts related to cost of goods sold.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; an MBA is advantageous.
- CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel is essential, along with substantial experience in ERP systems; familiarity with JD Edwards Enterprise-1 and Power BI is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing accounting.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and drive initiatives through effective persuasion and self-motivation.
