Pinnacle Community Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Residential Program Coordinator to join our team at Casey House Runaway and Homeless Youth Shelter.
About the Role:
The Residential Program Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting the daily operations of Casey House, ensuring the well-being and safety of youth in residence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains a safe and comfortable environment for all youth in residence at all times.
- Answers incoming telephone calls from the public, assesses crisis situations, and takes appropriate action in a polite and welcoming manner.
- Conducts intakes as needed and ensures that all admission procedures are completed in a thorough and legible manner.
- Maintains confidentiality of all client information, identity, and documentation.
- Introduces and orients youth to all residential procedures, including HIV/AIDS precautions, child abuse recourse, fire safety, resident guidelines, and other assigned tasks as directed.
Requirements:
- Demonstrates knowledge of the program, mission, and services of Pinnacle Community Services.
- Attends and participates in appropriate Agency staff trainings and meetings.
- Advocates for cultural diversity/sensitivity as appropriate.
- Reports all suspected incidents of child abuse/neglect to NYS Hotline with supervisory notification.
- Experience and knowledge on the use of computers, cell phones, and a broad understanding of using the Internet and e-mail in the workplace.
