Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior FERC Attorney to join our team at NextEra Energy. As a key member of our federal regulatory affairs team, you will represent the company before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) on electric matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide written and oral legal advice to clients on complex electric matters
  • Anticipate and mitigate legal risks involving the organization
  • Ensure budget compliance and minimize the need for outside counsel
  • Disclose potentially material legal issues to senior leadership
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Member in Good Standing of State Bar
  • High School Grad / GED
  • Juris Doctorate
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience: 5+ years
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working at FERC or representing clients with FERC-regulated transmission assets
Compensation

The base pay for this position is $196,000.00 to $294,000.00 per year.
