We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Development Representative to join our team at Mercury Insurance. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with our agency force in a designated territory.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth and profitability in your assigned territory.
- Provide expert knowledge of Mercury's Personal Lines products, platforms, and services to support our agents.
- Motivate and inspire agency partners to achieve business growth, retention, and profitability goals.
- Conduct in-person sales visits and create sales visit plans to drive new business and meet financial goals.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to management on market conditions, service levels, and Company programs.
- Respond to agent and customer inquiries, comments, and concerns.
- Participate in advanced studies and training to expand knowledge and contribute to the team.
- Assist with interviews and training of new employees as needed.
- Establish and track progress towards semi-annual and annual production goals.
- Monitor agent production reports, loss ratios, and hold performance discussions to improve performance.
- Promote products and programs to ensure understanding of Company philosophy, procedures, and practices.
- Collect competitive intelligence and industry trends to inform management decisions.
- Attend regional and state meetings, group conventions, and agent-related tradeshows as needed.
- Interview and recruit agents for new agency appointments.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
- At least 5 years of experience in marketing, preferably in the Property & Casualty Insurance industry.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
