SUMMARY
V & J Holding Companies, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who thrives in a collaborative environment to take on the role of Operations Branch Manager.

The Operations Branch Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the executive leadership in the overall management of the credit union's operations.

This position is responsible for overseeing the delivery of exceptional service to members, particularly in areas such as account transactions, loan processing, and new account setups.

Additionally, the manager will engage with members directly, working as a teller on a scheduled basis to ensure operational efficiency and member satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the credit union, ensuring that member service needs are met effectively.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with credit union members, addressing complaints and providing personalized attention to complex cases.
  • Clearly communicate credit union policies and procedures to members, serving as a resource for information.
  • Authorize member exceptions and manage fee refunds when appropriate.
  • Lead by example to ensure a consistently positive member experience through exceptional service.
  • Act as a vault teller, responsible for cash verification, vault security, and daily cash balancing.
  • Assist the executive team in preparing reports for board meetings.
  • Collaborate with auditors and compliance specialists to ensure adherence to regulations and internal controls.
  • Serve as the BSA and OFAC Compliance Officer in the absence of the President.
  • Engage in community networking and volunteer opportunities.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Contribute to managing the public image of the credit union.
  • Support the executive team during audits and examinations.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions and training.
  • Ensure compliance with annual regulatory requirements for frontline staff.
  • Maintain an ongoing personal education record.

Qualifications and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a credit union or similar financial institution is preferred.
  • Experience in customer service or member relations is essential.

Skills and Abilities
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows operating systems.
  • Aptitude for learning new technologies and software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
  • Capability to lift up to 20 pounds as needed.
