JOB DESCRIPTION

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The Field Operations Supervisor is tasked with overseeing the safety, efficiency, and quality of the field service operations at Rust-Oleum Corporation. Safety remains the utmost priority and is integrated into every discussion, meeting, and project. As the designated leader of the field team, the Supervisor emphasizes safety, team management, and the effective execution of all assigned projects within their designated area. It is the Supervisor's duty to ensure timely service delivery to all customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead daily onsite safety briefings before the commencement of any project, collaborating with the Sales Representative, customer, and field team. Conduct thorough inspections of the environment, equipment, and tools, addressing any safety concerns. Complete and submit the Daily Hazard Analysis form to the appropriate Supervisors as necessary.
  • Facilitate all project communications prior to the initiation of any field service task. This includes, but is not limited to, discussions with:
    • Sales Representative regarding weekly/daily schedules
    • Field team members to outline the scope of work and daily responsibilities
    • The customer before arrival, upon arrival, and after the completion of daily tasks
    • Field Supervisor concerning schedule modifications, project updates, and crew information
  • Manage project execution efficiently, which encompasses overseeing team start and end times, production rates, and ensuring the availability of tools and materials necessary for the safe and effective completion of the assigned tasks. Ensure adherence to the project scope or specifications.
  • Conduct end-of-day and/or end-of-project inspections to guarantee quality outcomes and address any outstanding issues before departing the job site. Share before and after images with the Sales Representative, along with daily updates on project status, including detailed reports on work performed, materials used, and supplies purchased.
  • Ensure that all field representatives maintain a professional appearance and engage positively with customers while delivering services.
  • The Field Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing inventory, including ordering, tracking, and monitoring supplies, and ensuring timely completion of quarterly cycle counts.
  • Review each field service project exceeding $5,000 for pricing accuracy in accordance with pricing procedures.
  • Submit all projects exceeding $20,000 to the Field Supervisor prior to forwarding to the Sales Representative or customer.
  • Oversee, monitor, and document the performance of field representatives, taking necessary actions or corrective measures to address employee and work-related issues. Collaborate with the Field Resource Supervisor and Human Resources as required.
  • Perform any additional duties or projects as assigned by the Field Supervisor or Regional Manager.
