Job Title: Product Engineering Manager

Renesas Electronics is seeking a highly skilled Product Engineering Manager to lead our team of experienced and early career product engineers in the development and introduction of new SiP/module products.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and working with our design, product, and test development team in US, EU, and APAC to ensure smooth transition of new products from development to manufacturing phase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of product engineers in day-to-day product engineering tasks related to Module and Multi-chip new product development.
  • Guide the team to interface with quality, reliability, and failure analysis teams to define optimized qualification and reliability plan for new product introduction.
  • Collaborate with test teams to define ATE characterization methodology for guaranteeing datasheet performance through temperature testing and for production limits and guard band setting to ensure yield and manufacturability.
  • Perform data analysis, yield enhancement, product cost reduction, and device reliability improvement.
  • Set priorities and goals and monitor performance to nurture and build talent and continuously improve PE execution metrics.
  • Ensure execution of projects aligned to committed schedules and react with urgency to address problems before they impact schedules or costs.
  • Effectively communicate with the team and leadership.
  • Build collaborative relationships with other functional and cross-functional teams to improve execution efficiency and successful hand-off from development to mass production.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry working in product engineering, test engineering, or quality and reliability type roles.
  • 5+ years of experience leading or managing a team.
  • Experience working within a mixed-signal PMIC or large-scale semiconductor integrator is highly preferred.
  • Experience in Power semiconductor industry, experience with buck regulators preferred.
  • Module-related experience in the semiconductor industry preferred.
  • Well-versed in Analog.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics, or similar degree.
