We are seeking a highly skilled Process Improvement Engineer to join our team at Core Group Resources. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for analyzing and improving our business processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze current processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement, including inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and quality issues.
- Develop and implement process improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand process requirements and drive alignment on improvement initiatives.
- Conduct data analysis to quantify the impact of process changes and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
- Design and document new processes, including the creation of process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
- Lead and facilitate process improvement workshops and training sessions to educate and engage employees in continuous improvement practices.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to leverage technology and automation in process improvements.
- Prepare and present reports, including detailed analysis, project updates, and recommendations for senior management.
- Support the implementation of new technologies, systems, and tools that contribute to process optimization and enhanced operational performance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
- 5-7 years of operations experience, including auditing, operations analysis, and successful implementation of performance enhancement initiatives.
- Highly proficient with lean tools such as Standard Work, 5S, Visual Management, Kanban, Material Routes, Level Loading, and Poka-yoke.
- Experience in problem-solving using methodologies such as 8Ds, Kepner and Tregoe, Shainin, Red X, and Six Sigma.
- Highly proficient in Value Stream Mapping.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Solid working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- SAP, Minitab, Tableau, Denodo, Simul8 experience preferred.
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred.
