About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team at AdventHealth Orlando. As a Medical Laboratory Scientist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results, which are essential for diagnosing and treating patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform various laboratory procedures in assigned areas, including analytical testing of blood and/or human biological specimens.
  • Follow laboratory policies and procedures, and maintain quality control practices in the Laboratory.
  • Actively participate in outstanding customer service and maintain relationships that are equally respectful to all.
  • Perform pre-analytical activities related to laboratory testing, including general and analytical equipment maintenance, inventory control, and supply stocking.
  • Participate in proficiency testing and adhere to federal and state regulations, as well as Institutional policies.
Requirements
  • Licensure, certification, or registration in the appropriate specialty for the department or location assignment, or national certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist.
  • Associate's degree in chemical, physical, or biological science, or medical laboratory or related field, or equivalent education and training.
