Job Overview: As a key member of the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, the Tuberculosis Surveillance Coordinator plays a vital role in the prevention and control of tuberculosis in the community. This position requires a strong understanding of public health principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to prevent and control tuberculosis in high-risk populations
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, community organizations, and other stakeholders to promote tuberculosis awareness and education
  • Conduct surveillance and data analysis to identify trends and patterns in tuberculosis cases
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, community leaders, and public health officials

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in public health, epidemiology, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in public health, preferably in tuberculosis control or prevention
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
