About the Role:

Red Jacket Resorts is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. As a Staff Accountant, you will provide critical support to our Director of Finance and Assistant Controller in maintaining the day-to-day financial operations of our resorts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the accurate and timely maintenance of revenue for each resort.
  • Assist with preparing bank and other reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Conduct thorough research to resolve guest disputes and chargebacks in a fair and efficient manner.
  • Support the month-end and year-end processes, including posting journals and running reports to ensure financial compliance.
  • Prepare ownership reporting to provide stakeholders with valuable insights.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless operations and fill in as needed to meet business demands.
  • Perform special assignments and projects as requested by management to drive business growth and improvement.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years of progressive experience in accounting or payroll within the hospitality or similar industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or equivalent work experience required.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel is essential.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of USALI is necessary.
  • Experience with ProfitSword and Acumatica is preferred but not required.
