Medical Office Assistant

Catholic Health Physicians Practices is dedicated to delivering exceptional medical care to our patients. We are seeking a skilled Medical Office Assistant for our New York City location, who will play a vital role in our clinical team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-Exam Room Preparation: Ensure exam rooms are prepared for use, including disinfecting, stocking, and checking vaccinations and medications availability.
  • Patient Chart Preparation: Prepares patient charts with pre-visit planning, reviewing the next working day's schedule and identifying gaps in care.
  • Patient Escort and Flow Management: Escorts patients to exam rooms and directs patient flow for maximum efficiency.
  • Data Collection and Documentation: Collects and documents patient information, clinical data, and other relevant information such as vital signs, height/weight, allergies, active medication list, chief complaint, pain screen, and current symptoms.
  • Result Reporting and Implementation: Reports findings to providers, recognizing abnormal findings or changes in condition.
Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or 3+ years documented medical assistant experience and completion of the CH Medical Assistant Assessment.
  • BCLS training and current certification required from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
